Special Occasions

‘I was glad when they said to me: let us go to the house of the Lord’ (Psalm 122:1)

At key moments in life the Church holds in its gift special and holy services which bring us further into the love and life of God.

You can arrange for any of theses services to take place in any of our church buildings by ringing the Deanery Office on 01507 610 247 or emailing louthesk@lincoln.anglican.org.

Baptism

Either as babies, children or adults, we become part of the body of Christ through Christening, also known as Baptism.

David, Bishop of Grimsby joined us on Trinity Sunday evening for the Confirmations of five wonderful young people.

Confirmation

At a Confirmation service, which can be combined with Baptism, we have a chance to confirm that commitment to our faith if it has been made for us as babies or children, and to receive the grace of the Holy Spirit for our Christian lives to come

Marriage in St James, LouthMarriage

We set the seal on our human love through the sacrament of Marriage at a Wedding, when we are ready to commit to a relationship that is life-giving and life-long

Funerals

At the end of our lives, a Funeral service gives thanks for all that we have been, commends to God what we shall be, and helps to comfort all those who mourn our loss
